Following are the minimum requirements for BSN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  • To be considered for admission to the BSN program, current high school students need to have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, SAT scores of 1050 or higher or 23 on the ACT, and GPA of 3.3 in English (four-years), biology, chemistry, and mathematics (algebra and geometry). High school students with lower SAT scores must demonstrate a higher overall GPA.
  • A completed application (either the Mobile Friendly App, the Common Application or the University of Maine System Application)
  • An application fee of $40

First Year: A graduating high school student (regardless of number of college credits taken while in high school) or a high school graduate or GED recipient who has attempted fewer than 12 college credits after graduation and is applying to the four-year bachelor’s degree program.

Transfer: A high school graduate or GED recipient who has enrolled as a full-time degree student or who has attempted 12 or more credits of college study and is applying to the four-year bachelor’s degree program.
