Nursing Program

The Truckee Meadows Community College Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) grooms pupils to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN). Graduates of an ADN training program usually practice as nurses in direct client care in hospitals,  clinics, long-term care facilities and community agencies where nursing functions and services are organized and well outlined.

The Associate of Science Degree in Nursing is awarded upon successful completion of the program, and students are qualified to apply to take the state licensure exam, leading to practice as a registered nurse (RN).

The ADN Training program is at present accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).

Nursing Training program graduates are qualified to apply for licensure in the state of their preference. Truckee Meadows Community College Nursing Training program must be informed if the state is not Nevada since each and every state has specific requirements for licensure eligibility requirements.
