Nursing Program
The objective of this curriculum is to build the pupil for entry level roles in patient care. The program consists of courses in adult medical/surgical nursing, obstetrics, psychiatric nursing, pediatrics, professional nursing practice, and pharmacology.
Upon successful completion of the training program, the pupil is qualified to sit and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse. The nursing courses incorporate theory with the chance to apply knowledge in the nursing laboratory, in hospitals, and health-related organizations. The regular weekday alternative is two academic years in duration if pursued on a regular basis.
Some laboratory experiences may be scheduled during evening and also weekend hours. Because of the extreme nature of the Nursing Training program, the pupil might find that part-time study is much more suitable.
The weekend alternative is ideal for those pupils who desire to become a registered nurse but have a preference for a non-traditional academic schedule. The nursing courses are offered any other weekend in a period of 2 complete years (including summers).
