Nursing Program

Upon successful completion of the nursing training program, the graduate will be educationally ready to provide patient-centered care to persons across the lifespan with varied cultures that are going through disruptions in biophysical and also psychosocial dimensions in many different health-care settings.

The graduate will provide care making use of the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies, National League for Nursing (NLN) Association Degree (AD) competencies; and practice within the three positions of the AD nurse. The graduate will be ready to take the National Council of State Boards for Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse (RN).

The JCC nursing training program prepares pupils to transfer to many colleges and universities with face-to-face, hybrid, or web-based bachelor’s degree programs. All coursework essential to the AAS nursing degree at JCC will typically transfer to any bachelor’s training program in nursing. The nursing training program is made for regular or part-time study and may be fulfilled in at least two academic years of regular study.
