Nursing Program
Nursing offers an exceptional associate degree training program. The faculty of extremely trained nursing professionals is committed to working together with their pupils. Contracts with hospitals and health amenities provide outstanding possibilities for clinical practice in the area.
The nursing training program is certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (previously referred to as the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).
About The School
Columbia–Greene Community College (generally known as Co-Greene or perhaps C-GCC) is a public two-year community college situated in Hudson, New York, USA.
Columbia-Greene, established in 1966, is among the 64 campuses governed by the State University of New York (SUNY) and is domestically sponsored by two non-urban counties, Columbia and also Greene, which has a joined population of approximately 112,000. The Institution was first situated in Athens, New York until its final relocation to the City of Hudson in 1974.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Attend a free Nursing Information Session
Nursing Information Sessions introduce potential students to our Nursing program, degree requirements, admissions requirements and procedures (including transfer credit and advanced standing opportunities). Attendance at an information session is mandatory for applicants to the Nursing program..
- Be ready to enter EN 101 – Composition (college level English)
The Admissions Office determines a student’s proficiency in English by reviewing high school and/or college transcripts and/or placement test results. For more information about placement testing, please see our Placement Testing page.
- Be reading at the twelfth grade level
All applicants to the Nursing program are required to take the reading placement exam regardless of prior academic experience. For more information about placement testing, please see our Placement Testing page.
- Be ready to enter BI 130 – Anatomy and Physiology I
To enter BI 130 students need to have passed (a grade of 65 or better) a Regents level high school or college level biology or chemistry within the last five years. Licensed health care professionals such as LPNs, LMTs, EMTs, etc. may be exempt from this requirement with proof of current licensure.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50
Transfer students and students changing their curriculum to Nursing must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 or higher.
- Be proficient in elementary algebra
The Admissions Office determines a student’s proficiency in elementary algebra by reviewing high school and/or college transcripts and/or placement test results.
