About The School
St. Petersburg College (usually called SPC and formerly known as St. Petersburg Junior College or SPJC) is part of the Florida College System located in Pinellas County, Florida.
It is one of the institutions in the system termed a “state college,” as it offers a greater number of four-year bachelor’s degrees than the conventional two-year community colleges centered on associate’s degrees.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has accredited the college, and it enrolls about 65,000 students every year.
The school was established in 1927 as a private, two-year junior college, the first of its kind in Florida. It later advanced to a state institution and expanded to encompass campuses throughout Pinellas County. Currently, it has eleven campuses and centers: four in St. Petersburg, Florida, and seven more in Seminole, Clearwater, Pinellas Park, Largo, and Tarpon Springs.
The total sticker academic price and living expense for in-state Florida residents to go to St Petersburg College is $14,351 while out-of-state students who don’t have Florida residence can expect a one year cost of $21,640.
