Nursing Program
The Salt Lake Community College Nursing Training program offers pupils an extensive, inexpensive, high-quality education tutored by specialist health-care providers with advanced degrees. The training program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing, which will permit you to apply for and take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), which is required to become a Registered Nurse (RN). The college also offers an Advanced Placement Training program for License Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) returning for an AAS degree.

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is Utah’s biggest two (2) year college with the most varied student body. It serves over 60,000 pupils on ten campuses as well as via web-based classes. The institution has a student to faculty ratio of 20:1.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Apply for admission at SLCC
- Each prerequisites course and lab must be completed, with a C grade or etter.
- MATH 1010, 1040 or higher Intermediate Algebra
- BIOL 1610 &1615 College Biology I & Lab
- BIOL 2320 & 2325 Human Anatomy & Anatomy Lab
- BIOL 2420 & 2425 Human Physiology & Lab
- CHEM 1110 & 1115 Elementary Chemistry & Lab
- Take the ATI TEAS V Proctored Assessment Exam.
This test is purposed to assess the academic and intellectual readiness of prospective nursing students. A minimum score for each category as follows is required: Reading 48%, Mathematics 47%, Science 34%, and English/Language Usage 40% with a minimum overall score of 42%. You may take the TEAS a total of three times in a one year period.
