Nursing program
The goal of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is to educate the student with the knowledge, education, and skills for the practice of professional nursing. This is a four-semester program that can be concluded in two years. Students may be admitted on a full or part-time basis.
Students are admitted directly into the ADN Program or given advanced placement through transfer credits as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The nursing curriculum offers a framework for students learning in the classroom, clinical and laboratory setting. These educational practices allow the student to attain well-defined program learning outcomes.
Upon successful completion of the program, students are qualified to apply for to take the National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) and enter the profession of nursing as defined by Minnesota statutes.
