Redlands Community College ADN-RN Nursing Program Prerequisites & Reviews

Nursing Program

Nursing courses are split up into theory, laboratory, and also clinical components. A satisfactory standard of overall performance must be maintained in all aspects of every single nursing course. If a student has negative overall performance in theory, laboratory, or clinical, a passing grade will not be allocated to any component.

The Pupil must pass needed standardized exit examination within three tries to receive a passing grade and graduate from the Nursing Training program. The nursing training program at Redlands Community College is a two (2) year associate degree in applied science. A graduate of this training program is qualified to sit and write the national council licensure examination (NCLEX) for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

About The School

Redlands Community College (Redlands) is a community college situated in El Reno, Oklahoma. Pupil enrollment is roughly 2,200 every semester. In the year t1938, El Reno Junior College was founded by an act of the El Reno Board of Education fostered by a petition enacted by El Reno High School graduates’ parents.

In the year 1938 the State Junior College Committee, University of Oklahoma, and also Oklahoma State University certified the college for one 12 months of higher education and in 1939 it received accreditation as a two (2) year institution. Fifty-four (54) pupils enlisted in the college’s very first year, and in 1940, the very first graduating class consisted of 8 pupils.

Total estimated program cost is USD $14,560

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  • Apply for admission to the college.
  • Minimum TEAS test score of 65%
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 ot higher
  • Pass all support courses with a “C”grade.
  • Completion of Chemistry 1215 or 1315 prior to the beginning of the Fall (entering) semester with a “C”
  • Meet the minimal physical qualifications (included with this handbook) or receive approval for ADA accommodations.
