Nursing program
With Rasmussen College Professional Nursing Associate’s degree program, a student will have the option of four start dates per year. The Courses are taught by an experienced nurse faculty in small class sizes with in-built preparation for your NCLEX-RN exams. This makes certain you acquire the knowledge and skills needed to be fully prepared for your licensure.
With no waiting list for eligible students and no pre-nursing course work, students can start sooner in a program where you’ll acquire job-ready skills for your career. The program offers Flex Choice®—an option that permits you to merge traditional courses and optional self-directed assessments, saving you time and money.

Rasmussen College is a for-profit private college and Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), awarding associate’s and bachelor’s degrees and a variety of certificates and diplomas at twenty-four campuses in Minnesota, North Dakota, Illinois, Florida, Kansas and Wisconsin. It also has an online section. Established in 1900, its headquartered is in Bloomington, Minnesota.
The Rasmussen College Professional Nursing Associate’s degree program in Minnesota has received programmatic approval from the state’s Board of Nursing. The Higher Learning Commission accredits Rasmussen College
Tuition and fees are approximately $17,000
Becoming a Rasmussen College student is quick and easy. There are five stages of paperwork and exams your program manager will help you with:
- Online enrollment:this takes only 5–10 minutes to complete
- Placement exam:this assessment ensures you are prepared to succeed; your program manager will help determine if this step is necessary
- TEAS exam:upon receiving a qualifying score on the TEAS, your program manager will help you submit the required immunizations, physical exam and CPR certification
- Financial aid:you will need to submit a FAFSA application (fafsa.ed.gov); your program manager will then walk you through your financial aid options and tuition costs
- Enrollment documents:your program manager will send you the enrollment documents to sign; at this time, you will also complete a background check and submit any previous college transcripts*
Once the paperwork is complete, your program manager will help you prepare for your first day, which includes three steps:
- Online prep course: this is designed to introduce you to our online course platform
- Orientation: your program manager will let you know when you should attend both the new Rasmussen College student orientation and nursing student orientation
- Class scheduling: your program manager will let you know when your schedule is ready to confirm
