Nursing program

With Rasmussen College Professional Nursing Associate’s degree program, a student will have the option of four start dates per year. The Courses are taught by an experienced nurse faculty in small class sizes with in-built preparation for your NCLEX-RN exams. This makes certain you acquire the knowledge and skills needed to be fully prepared for your licensure.

With no waiting list for eligible students and no pre-nursing course work, students can start sooner in a program where you’ll acquire job-ready skills for your career. The program offers Flex Choice®—an option that permits you to merge traditional courses and optional self-directed assessments, saving you time and money.

About the school

Becoming a Rasmussen College student is quick and easy. There are five stages of paperwork and exams your program manager will help you with:

  • Online enrollment:this takes only 5–10 minutes to complete
  • Placement exam:this assessment ensures you are prepared to succeed; your program manager will help determine if this step is necessary
  • TEAS exam:upon receiving a qualifying score on the TEAS, your program manager will help you submit the required immunizations, physical exam and CPR certification
  • Financial aid:you will need to submit a FAFSA application (fafsa.ed.gov); your program manager will then walk you through your financial aid options and tuition costs
  • Enrollment documents:your program manager will send you the enrollment documents to sign; at this time, you will also complete a background check and submit any previous college transcripts*

Once the paperwork is complete, your program manager will help you prepare for your first day, which includes three steps:

  • Online prep course: this is designed to introduce you to our online course platform
  • Orientation: your program manager will let you know when you should attend both the new Rasmussen College student orientation and nursing student orientation
  • Class scheduling: your program manager will let you know when your schedule is ready to confirm
