Quinsigamond Community College offers one of the very best Associate Degree in Nursing Program in Massachusetts. About the school

Quinsigamond Community College QCC or Quinsig is a two-year academic body in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is a commuter school with an enrollment of more than 8,000 students in its certification and Associate’s degree programs.

Some students are enrolled in transfer programs with the aim of continuing to a four-year college or even university, often the Worcester State University or University of Massachusetts Amherst through guaranteed-acceptance programs.

It was founded in 1963 and occupies the Greendale campus previously owned by Assumption College. The College sustain a satellite campus at the earlier Worcester Common Outlets, currently known as City Square in Southbridge at 5 Optical Drive. Quinsigamond offers night, online and summer classes with sites in and around Worcester County. Quinsigamond has more than 20 major areas of study to select from.

 

Total program cost for in-state residents is about $14,300 while that of other states is about $29,200.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

Students should note that some first semester courses carry minimum prerequisites. Refer to the program grid.

  • High School Diploma or GED/High School Equivalency.
  • Must take the college placement test to determine Math and English levels if no college level courses were previously completed.
  • Math: minimum grade of “B” in MAT 098 or MAT 099 or take Math Placement Test and test into MAT 100.
  • Biology: minimum grade of “B” in high school biology or “B” in BIO 101 (recommended) or other college biology class.
  • Qualifying mathematics and onebiology course must be taken within five years of application and a grade of “B” or higher must be achieved.
  • English: ENG 091 with a grade of “B” or higher, ENG 096 with a grade of “B” or higher; or appropriate placement score.
  • Required TEAS V composite score of 65% must be achieved in one test (cannot be a combination of two tests).
  • Required grades as listed above must be earned within two attempts of taking and completing the course.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree for Associate of Science Degree Evening program only.
  • Attendance at a Health information Session.
