Nursing Program

To accommodate many different pupils in the nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, The College offers a regular associate degree in the nursing training program, an evening-weekend associate degree in the nursing training program and an advanced placement opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurse to RNs.

Pennsylvania College  Of Health Science offers training in classrooms with committed, regular faculty and also helpful staff that are dedicated to assisting you to attain your main aim. The program is certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).

About The School

Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences is co-educational, a non-public, Middle States-accredited, four (4) year College offering a number of different associate and also baccalaureate degree programs and also certificate programs in health-care.

Total estimated program cost is USD $20,576

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  • Applicants for the evening/weekend program must complete prerequisite college courses in Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II prior to entering NUR 101
  • All applicants must have graduated from an approved, secondary school association, have received a diploma from an accredited home school association, or have met the requirements for the GED.
  • High school-level courses must include a minimum of 16 units: four units English, one unit biology, one unit science with lab and two units of algebra. Post-secondary college-level equivalents will be considered to fulfill the high school requirements. Preferred applicants will have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater.
  • Satisfactory scores on the SAT or ACT exam. To have your test scores sent to us directly, please use SAT code #2374 or ACT code #3609.
  • These exams are not required if more than two (2) years have elapsed since either graduation or earning of the GED. Arrangements for taking the SAT or ACT examinations are made through the secondary school guidance office or by writing directly to the respective test organization. Preferred applicants will have scored a combined reading and math score of 1000 or greater.
  • Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences is not approved to issue documentation to admit international students. Applicants who are not United States citizens must show proof of permanent resident visa status.

An individual educated in another country may be admitted if, in addition to satisfying the general admission requirements, he/she demonstrates proficiency in English, shown by earning a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based, 213 on the computer-based or 79 on the internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey. Students from English-speaking countries may choose to take the SAT or ACT as an option to the TOEFL exam. An evaluation of foreign transcripts by the World Education Service (W.E.S.) or other approved agency is required.
