Pasadena City College (PCC) is a community college situated in Pasadena, California, United States Of America.
Pasadena City College was established in 1924 as Pasadena Junior College. From the year 1928 to 1953, it functioned as a four (4) year junior college, merging the last two years of high school with the first two years of college.
In the year 1954, Pasadena Junior College combined with another junior college, John Muir College, to emerge as Pasadena City College. In 1966, voters authorized the creation of the Pasadena Area Junior College District. The name was eventually modified to the Pasadena Area Community College District. Pasadena City College is certified by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an educational authorizing system acknowledged by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
NURSING
Upon successful completion of the Nursing curriculum and meeting Pasadena City College graduation and BRN requirements, you will be awarded an Associate of Science Degree with a Certificate of Achievement in Registered Nursing (RN). You will also be qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) and should file to do so at the earliest opportunity, as the sooner you take the examination, the more likely you will be successful. There is certainly a fee to take the NCLEX and a separate fee for licensure application. When you successfully pass the NCLEX-RN, you may then be eligible to receive a license from the Board of Registered Nursing to practice nursing in the State of California or whichever state or US territory they wish.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Overall college GPA 2.5 and completion of English 1A, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology and Math 131 or higher are required to apply.
- Previous academic degrees or diplomas, or relevant health care certificates held by an applicant: BS/BA or higher; LVN, paramedic, psychiatric technician; radiologic technician, military medic; respiratory therapist. Recent (within 3 years) LVN, paramedic, psychiatric technician; radiologic technician, military medic; respiratory therapist work experience in a direct patient care more than 1000 hours of experience.
- Life experiences or special circumstances of an applicant Applicant may have one or more in this category but maximum points awarded are 3. Documentation will only be required for the one that may apply.
- Proficiency or advanced level coursework in languages other than English maximum 2 points.
- The TEAS is required to apply for the nursing program unless the student has a BS/BA degree or higher. A minimum score of 62 is required to apply
