Nursing Program

The Associate of Science in nursing degree in Park University is an accelerated degree training program built on earlier practical nursing education. The curriculum grooms graduates to apply and take the Registered Nurse Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and serve as a basis to pursue a baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Acceptance is more competitive than other colleges. The training program admits one cohort every year with classes starting the fall semester. The application procedure must be 100% finished by the last business day in April to be taken into consideration for the subsequent cohort.

Completion of the training program does not assure the ability to take the Registered Nurse licensure examination. The Associate Degree Nursing Training program is completely endorsed by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The Associate Degree Nursing Training program is authorized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, which functions as a repository for information about curriculum, training, and fees for the nation’s nursing career.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

2. Submit application to Park University.
3. Submit PN program transcripts and all other post- secondary transcripts–

current PN students must submit an interim transcript.

1. Submit evidence of registration for the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
2. Submit active LPN license–
3. If a non- Missouri resident- must submit current license at application. If accepted into the program must submit an active LPN license in Missouri prior by July 15. Failure to submit licensure in Missouri by July 15 will void acceptance.
4. Practical nursing new graduates must pass the NCLEX- PN on the first attempt and within the 90 day new graduate period to remain in the program.
5. By May 31 complete standardized testing process– may be taken one time each year. Benchmark Scores-
6. Composite score of 70 or higher on the Nursing Admissions Tests with a minimum score of 60on the physiology and math components.
7. Fundamentals of Nursing standardized test score of 65 or higher.
8. Notification of acceptance will be issued by July 1. The letter will include instructions for the next steps candidates must complete with due dates.
9. Required program orientation for all accepted students– All accepted students are required to pass a zero credit online orientation course – NU001 ADN Online Orientation.
