Nursing Program
There is no better place to learn to be a registered nurse (RN) compared to by attending OSU Institute of Technology and earning an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Registered Nursing.
The Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology Registered Nursing Training program is endorsed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), initially National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
Upon successful completion of the degree training program and NCLEX, you will be qualified for employment as a registered nurse (RN). For Licensed Practical Nurse-ADN transition Only Licensed Practical Nurses with an unencumbered Oklahoma nursing license, as confirmed via the OBN website, will be taken into consideration for acceptance.
About The School
Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) is a public and state-supported technical school part of the Oklahoma State University System situated in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Initially, OSUIT was named OSU-Okmulgee, but the name was modified to differentiate from the rest of the OSU system as a school for applied technology. It was established in the year 1946.
Total estimated program cost is USD $13,000
Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Apply and be accepted to OSUIT College;
- Nursing Application signed and dated;
- Entrance Exam:
- Students will take a Reading, Math, and Science exam
- Students must pass the Reading and Math portion at 55% or higher.
- Students must pass the Science portion with 35% or higher.
- The Exam is administered in the nursing Department computer lab.
- Students are required to take the exam each application period.
- Exam can be taken only one time per application period.
- The exam is valid only for that application period.
- Students will be provided a calculator and scratch piece of paper.
- Students must provide a photo identification to take the exam
- All official college transcripts from previously attended colleges must be on file in the nursing department with the original in the OSU Institute of Technology Registrar’s office. (It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that all of their college transcripts have been submitted to the college and the nursing department has access to them.)
