Nursing Program
During the two-year course of ADN studies, pupils will acquire these critical pondering and practical skills and the skilled consciousness essential for entrance into complex beginner nursing practice. NNMC has a delighted 25-year record of training associate degree nurses. The NNMC ADN training program is the major educator of associate degree nurses north of Santa Fe and also reaching up to the Colorado border, a hundred and twenty miles away. Yearly the ADN training program graduates about forty to fifty students with degrees or accreditation in nursing (ADN, LPN). The NNMC College of Nursing and also Health Sciences have been setting up associate degree nurses to meet up with the healthcare requirements of the community, on either community and country levels, ever since 1986.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) was founded in El Rito, New Mexico, United States, in the year 1909 as the Spanish American Standard Institution with the key goal of offering teacher coaching for the area’s Spanish speakers. Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Cumulative GPA of 2 .50 or higher
- A minimum total individual score of 67% on the KAPLAN pre-admission examination.
- A minimum individual score of 73% in reading on the KAPLAN pre-admission examination.
- A minimum individual score of 55% in science on the KAPLAN pre-admission examination.
- Submission of a completed nursing application packet by April 30th for fall admission consideration.
- Completion of the following pre-requisite course work by the end of the spring semester prior to anticipated entry into the ADN program with a grade of “C” or higher
- CHEM 110/L (4) or BIOL 210/L (4) or any other BIOL (4)
- BIOL 237/L (4)
- PSY 105 (3)
- ENG 111 (3)
- Anatomy and Physiology Courses must be completed within five (5) years prior to entry into the ADN program.
- All nursing students are expected to have basic computer skills including word processing and internet access.
- All nursing students must have and maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and current immunizations prior to participating in clinical nursing courses.
