Miles Community College ADN-RN Nursing Program Prerequisites & Reviews.

Nursing Program

Miles Community College provides a five (5) semester Associate of Science in Nursing Degree which grooms the pupil for the Registered Nursing licensure examination.

The optimum learning atmosphere of Miles Community College Nursing supports caring, realizes differences, demonstrates open communications, commits to excellence, and encourages personal/professional growth and also advocates for every individual to function according to their own values, beliefs and practices.

The Miles Community College Registered Nursing Training program is certified by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN) and completely endorsed by Montana State Board of Nursing

Nursing education is delivered on campus and using Interactive Television Network (ITV) to place-bound pupils residing in frontier areas. Glendive Medical Centre and Sidney Health Centre have teamed with Miles Community College and also provide financial assistance to pupils to acquire an Associate of Science in Nursing Degree.

About The School

Miles Community College (MCC) is a community college in Miles City, Montana, United States. The College was established in 1939. For virtually twenty (20) years it functioned out of a few rooms in the local public high school. In the year 1957, Miles Community College relocated into the previous Milwaukee Railroad Depot building.

In June 1967, the College relocated to a new building that was built after passage of a bond issued by county voters. On April 4, 1970, voters of the region selected the very first independent board of trustees for the College. In December 1971, Miles Community College (MCC) was granted licensing by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

Total estimated program cost is USD $12,120

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  1. All required prerequisites and general education must be completed with a “B-” or higher grade.
    • CHMY 121 Intro to General Chemistry
    • CHMY 122 Intro to General Chemistry Lab
    • BIOH 201 Human Anatomy & Physiology I
    • BIOH 202 Human Anatomy & Physiology I Lab
    • WRIT 101 College Writing I
    • M 121 College Algebra
  2. ACCUPLACER and ACT/SAT test scores
  3. A selective GPA of 2.75 or higher is required for admission to the Nursing Program.
  4. Completed Miles Community College general application
  5. Official High School transcripts or state-approved high school equivalency transcripts
  6. Official college transcripts, if applicable, from all institutions attended
  7. Completed Miles Community College Nursing application
