Nursing Program
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) training program at Mid-State Technical College grooms each graduate to work effectively as a registered nurse (RN). Pupils obtain a balance of knowledge and also technical competencies in physical and also biological sciences, social sciences, and nursing. Additionally, they contribute to classroom discussion, independent learning projects, audio-tutorial labs, and practical clinical experiences at area health-care organizations.
After completing the very first year (32 credits), you can choose to take the national licensing test for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After 70 credits you will be qualified to take the licensing examination for Registered Nurse (RN).
An LPN/Paramedic to Associate Degree Nursing articulation plan has been created meaning that upon successful completion of specified activities and also coursework, a Licensed Practical Nurse or Paramedic would be qualified to enter the ADN training program as a 3rd-semester pupil.
The Nursing training program is completely certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
