Nursing Program
The Associate Degree Nursing Training program at Mayland Community College is a two-year training program (5 semesters). Prospective students must apply during the precise dates before the fall semester they wish to enter the training program.
Graduates of this training program will be qualified to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) which is required to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). Because of minimal enrollment, pupils must complete an admissions process that determines which pupils will be accepted into the training program.
Admittance to the Associate Degree Nursing Training program is limited and dependent on a competitive ranking system. After acceptance, pupils need to submit health, immunization, and also CPR information. Pupils must consent to a criminal background check and also urine drug screen before attending clinical. The Advanced Placement Associate Degree Nursing Training program is for pupils that hold an existing, unrestricted license to practice as a Practical Nurse in North Carolina and have graduated from a certified training program in the last five years.
