Massachusetts Bay Community College ADN-RN Nursing Program Prerequisites & Reviews.

March 21, 2017 by GREGORY Leave a Comment

Nursing Program

The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program at MassBay is planned to prepare students for a career in nursing as Registered Nurses RN. Successful graduates of the program earn an Associate in Science Degree and are qualified to take the National Council Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The program usually starts in the Fall semester every year.

The ADN program is intended to meet the educational requirements of students pursuing a career in nursing that wish to attend full-time college during the day. Although the curriculum is structured to be completed in two years, students could choose to complete non-nursing courses before beginning the nursing sequence.

About the school

Massachusetts Bay Community College (MassBay) is a multi-campus founded in 1961 as a two-year community college in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

MassBay currently serves over 8,000 full- and part-time students on its three (3) campuses, in Ashland, Wellesley, and Framingham. It offers over 70 degree and certificate programs, targeted at helping students to transfer to a four-year college or university or for direct placement into a career.

MassBay opened the first time with temporary campuses in Boston and Watertown, and at the time it served just several hundred. The College moved to its permanent site in Wellesley Hills in 1973, on the campus of former Elizabeth Seton High School. The Colleges presently serves over 8,000 students who take classes on any of the three campuses or online.

Total program cost for in-state residents is around $19,200 while that of the out-of-state residents is around $34,000.
