Manchester Community College ADN-RN Nursing Program Prerequisites & Reviews.

Nursing Program

The Nursing Training program in MCC grooms pupils to provide direct care to patients in acute care, long-term care as well as other structured settings.

The training program comprises of science, general education and also nursing courses. Nursing courses consist of classroom, simulation lab and also clinical experiences. The training program may be completed on a regular or part-time schedule. Classroom and also clinical aspects of the nursing courses must be completed at one time.

Pupils admitted into the Nursing training program must take nursing courses in sequence, and also must attain a minimum grade of “C” (73.35) in all major theory and also science courses (Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Nursing, and Microbiology) and a grade of “Pass” in clinical courses to be able to carry on in the training program.

Manchester Community College (MCC) is a college in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States Of America. It was founded in the year 1945.

New Hampshire’s system of post-secondary vocational-technical education created due to conditions in New Hampshire following the end of World War II. Realizing that lots of soldiers, sailors and airmen, and others, would be demobilized as well as in need of retraining for civilian life, 2 State Trade Schools were created.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

Completed nursing program application packets must be submitted by February 1st to be considered for acceptance in the fall class.

Submission of a competed application packet is the responsibility of the nursing candidate. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates must complete the college admission requirements and provide documentation of the following criteria for admission consideration:

  • Attend a mandatory Nursing Information Session.
  • Complete application for the program.
  • Proof of satisfactory completion of high school algebra, biology and chemistry with grades no lower than a C. If transcript indicates a numerical grade point average with no grade equivalent, a minimum of 73.33 is required.
  • Two professional references, work or education-related. (Forms provided by the college).

Complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) of Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) with an Adjusted Individual Score of the following: Reading:73.80%, MATH:70%, Science:52.10%, English:63.30%. Applicants are permitted to take this test three times in a calendar year; no sooner than six weeks between attempts. Test scores are valid for a period of two years.Only completed application packets receive priority processing and review. Failure to adhere to the process outlined above will delay the application review. Due to the substantial amount of documentation associated with this program, we may be unable to immediately confirm receipt of separately mailed documentation.

  • The TEAS Test evaluates the academic ability of prospective RN students.

Applicants who have been former nursing students please note that the Director of the Department of Nursing will contact the former nursing program to verify that the student left in good standing.
