Nursing Program
The values of the Lincoln Land Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program is regular with the college’s core values, vision, goals, and philosophy of general education. The ADN Program syllabus is based on current knowledge, science, and evidence-based practice.
The Program outcomes, philosophy, and competencies are based on the National Council Licensure Examination Test Plan, guidelines from the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) scheme, and guidelines from the Institute of Medicine (2011). The ADN Program has the precise mission of educating individuals to execute the role of the Registered Professional Nurse.

Lincoln Land Community College is a public community college in Springfield, Illinois. It has extended branches in various locations such as the Eastern Region Education Center in Taylorville. The college is situated less than half a mile from the University of Illinois located at Springfield.
The college has witnessed a substantial increase in student population. The 2009 fall semester recorded one of the largest enrollment increases in school history. By the spring of 2016, the total number of enrolled students was 15,481.
Associate Degree Nursing Estimated costs: $20,024.00
Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
□ HS transcript with proof of graduation or GED certificate on file in Admissions & Records Office
□ **TEAS score of Basic or higher (TEAS scores are valid for 5 years and may be accepted from any location offering the TEAS testing)
□ Chemistry 100 or 101 with C or above within the last 5 years OR high school Chemistry with C or above within the last 5 years
□ Complete Math 096/097 (or higher) within 5 years with a grade of “C” or above; OR have 22 or higher on the math portion of the ACT; OR place into the college level math portion of the placement test (within 5 years).
□ Complete placement test to demonstrate placement into EGL 101 (or ACT of 22+ on Reading and 22+ on English). If this ability is not demonstrated, the necessary remedial courses must be complete before admission into the ADN program.
□ Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better for all previous college courses or high school GPA of 2.5 (on 4pt scale). High school GPA will be considered until the student has completed 9 hours of program specific courses.
□ Internal GPA of 2.0 or better for all courses previously taken at LLCC
□ Be a current Certified Nursing Assistant.
□ Official transcripts from all colleges ever attended evaluated by Admissions & Records Office. Students that neglect to do this, or delay doing this, may jeopardize their ability to apply to, be accepted to, or remain enrolled in a health professions program at LLCC.
□ Submit the ADN Program Application
*Students must be eligible to take BIO 175 or must have taken BIO 175 within the past 5 years upon entering the ADN program. See BIO 175 prerequisite requirements on backside of checklist.
