Nursing Program
The objective of the Associate Degree Nursing Training program in Lee College is to prepare pupils with starting competencies to practice as registered nurses (RNs) upon successful writing of the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NRs).
The training program is certified by the Texas Board of Nursing along with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN). As soon as the Associate Degree Nursing graduate passes the NCLEX-RN examination, they are qualified to transition to a BSN training program.
Lee College also offers an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), and also an Associate of Applied Science Nursing — Transitional Entrance. Owing to demands of criminal background checks, pre-admission testing as well as other procedures the following application due dates are needed: Fall Admission- Applications will be accepted between March 15 and also May 15 and Spring Admission- Applications will be accepted between August 15 and also October 15.

Lee College is an extensive community college situated in Baytown, Texas, United States Of America, roughly 30 miles east of Houston. It was founded in 1934.
Initially housed on the Robert E. Lee High School campus, Lee College severed its primary integration with the Goose Creek Independent School District under the leadership of the college’s very first dean, Walter Rundell.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Preadmission Assessment Examination
- HESI A2 score requirements available in the nursing office
- Overall GPA of 2.7 in degree plan courses
- No grade less than “C” earned in the degree plan courses
- Prerequisite courses GPA of 2.7 minimum (RNSG 1301, BIOL 2401, ENGL 1301, PSYC 2301)
- Science GPA of 2.5 minimum in degree plan courses completed (BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2421)
- Computer skills competency
- Students are encouraged to consider ITSC 1309 or equivalent to enhance computer skills if necessary;
- Lee College overall GPA minimum 2.0
Transitional Nursing students (TN2) will also have:
- Texas Vocational Nursing License in good standing
- Comprehensive Standardized Examination
- VN-RN Comprehensive Standardized Examination – score requirements are available. Inquire in the nursing office to take the standardized exam.
- Copies of scores from other schools may be submitted for review through a transcript request process with HESI (Evolve/Elsevier).
- Preadmission Assessment Examination

- Math competency must be demonstrated
- Overall GPA of 2.7 in degree plan courses
- No grade less than “C” earned in the degree plan courses
- Prerequisite courses GPA of 2.7 minimum (BIOL 2401, ENGL 1301, PSYC 2301)
- Science GPA of 2.5 minimum in degree plan courses completed (BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, and BIOL 2421)
