Nursing Program

The program is made for career flexibility for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to transfer into the function of the Registered Nurse (RN). Graduates are ready to take collectively the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN®) and the Registered Nurse Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®). Under the Kansas Statewide Nursing Articulation Plan, Labette Community College nursing graduates may also carry on studies at colleges or universities in Kansas offering bachelor’s degrees in nursing.

Pupils enthusiastic about the Nursing Training program can be admitted to the Institution on the same basis as other pupils, however admission to the Institution does not guarantee admission into the Nursing Training program. Selection as well as acceptance into the Nursing Training program is dependent on the requirements created by the department.

The Labette Community College Nursing Training program is a Bi-Level training program, and is endorsed by the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) and certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.
