Nursing program
- The WellStar School of Nursing at KSU offers Traditional BSN training program for pupils who want to become a registered nurse. The syllabus includes courses in the humanities and biological, social sciences as well as the theoretical and also the clinical practice background necessary for the practice of professional nursing.
- All Kennesaw State University pupils must complete the General Education Requirements and also University-Wide Degree requirements to graduate with any Bachelor’s degree. These courses can be taken prior to, during, or after acceptance and also the completion of the BSN training program, but all courses have to be completed before you can graduate with a BSN degree.
- Once accepted into the BSN training program, you will take a series of fourteen courses (42 credit hours) over 5-semesters. Courses must be taken successively, and the exact schedule of courses differs depending on the semester in which you begin the program.
- The Accelerated BSN is an abbreviated four-semester training program for pupils who hold baccalaureate degrees in other fields.

Minimum requirements for competitive admission to the BSN program:
- Must have applied to KSU and have KSU ID number
- Must complete at least 7 of the following 12 prerequisite courses prior to applying to the nursing program—at least 5 must be from the math & science (biology & chemistry) requirements (all 12 must be completed prior to entering the NURS 3209 Holistic Nursing course):
- MATH 1101 or MATH 1111—Math Modeling or College Algebra
- MATH 1107—Statistics
- CHEM 1151 and LAB—Chemistry I & Lab*
- CHEM 1152 and LAB—Chemistry II & Lab*
- BIOL 2221 and LAB—Anatomy and Physiology I & Lab*
- BIOL 2222 and LAB—Anatomy and Physiology II & Lab*
- BIOL 2261 and LAB—Microbiology & Lab*
- ENGL 1101—Composition I
- ENGL 1102—Composition II
- PSYC 1101—General Psychology
- PSYC 3305—Life-Span Developmental Psychology
- SOCI 1101—Introduction to Sociology
*Science courses older than 10 years at time of application must be retaken for consideration into the program (contact the School of Nursing for acceptable substitutions).
- Cumulative (Regents) GPA of at least 2.7
- A grade of C or better in all prerequisite and major requirements—courses may only be repeated once
- Completion of the ATI TEAS Entrance Exam (limited to 2 attempts)

Accelerated BSN program
Minimum requirements for competitive admission to the Accelerated BSN program:
- Must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. institution (or equivalent international degree) with all KSU Core Requirements completed
- Must have applied to KSU and have KSU ID number
- Must complete at least 7 of the following 12 prerequisite courses prior to applying to the nursing program—at least 5 must be from the math & science (biology & chemistry) requirements (all 12 must be completed prior to entering the NURS 3209 Holistic Nursing course):
