Nursing Program
The Associate of Science Degree in Nursing program trains students in the nursing practices of a professional nurse. These practices include but not limited to surveillance and assessment of care, health education and counseling of individuals, enhancement of wellness and avoidance of illness, and administrations of treatments and prescriptions.
About The School
Keiser University is a private not-for-profit university based in Florida. Keiser offers educational programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in conventional and online delivery formats.
The institution has the full accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is also a part of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida. The major campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, with other branches located in different parts of Florida and internationally.
Tuition per semester is around $7,000
Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
Take the Entrance Evaluation, which they call the Wonderlic Test. It is similar to an IQ test. If you have your scores from the SAT or ACT, with a minimum of 800 on the SAT and 17 on the ACT then you can skip the entrance evaluation.
2. Take the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) which is comprised of Reading, Math, English and Science. Get a minimum passing score of:
- Reading-89%
- Math-65%
- Science-63%
- English-78%
Interview with the Nursing Program Director
4. Then your file will be sent to the committee and then if they accept you they will call you within 2-3 weeks.If you do not have your sciences done;(i.e Anatomy & Physiology I & II and a humanities course) then you can take them at Keiser before starting the nursing program.
