Nursing Program
Keiser knows that students in the Associate of Science Degree in Nursing program do better by being in a safe, valued and connected environment. The faculty and staff members are compassionate and support students in achieving their career goals. The program includes learning of general ethics of biological, physical, psychological, and social sciences. Students take part in clinical experiences, which provide them with hands-on training needed to be successful in one’s career. Upon completion of the program, students are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN exam for licensure to practice as a registered nurse (RN). Graduates are also qualified for entry-level nursing positions in settings including hospitals, physicians’ offices, clinics, and home health care agencies. Graduates can also choose to proceed on to Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Keiser University Fort Lauderdale is conveniently sited on the Commercial Boulevard between Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike with full time staffed admissions, academic affairs, administration, student services, and financial services departments.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
You need to complete the following in order to get admitted to the ADN program:
- Pass a pre-entrance test called the Wonderlic. If you have an ACT score of 17 or a SAT score of 400, you can skip this test. This test is pretty easy to pass without studying.
- Pass the TEAS exam with a minimum score of 89 in reading, 65 in math, 63 in science, 78 in English. Most students will need to get the study the official ATI TEAS guide in order to pass.
- Interview with the program director.
After the interview, your file will go to an admissions committee. You will receive an admissions decision within 2-3 weeks. If you have not taken the nursing program prerequisites of anatomy and physiology and microbiology, you can take those classes at Keiser University. It is not necessary to complete the prerequisite courses beforehand.
