Nursing Program
The nursing program in Kaua`i Community Colleges have the following features:
• Associate degree (AS) in Nursing from the Kaua`i Community Colleges (ACEN) accredited Nursing program qualifies a student to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination.
• When you pass the examination (and pay the Hawaii State Board of Nursing the licensing charge), you will be awarded a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Hawai`i.
• Because of reciprocity agreements across the United States you may apply to any state for a Registered Nurse (RN) license to work in that state.
• Upon graduation, you may also decide to continue your education by registering for a RN to baccalaureate in nursing (BSN) program.
Once you are licensed as an RN with an Associate Degree, you can work as a:
1. Staff Registered Nurse in a hospital
2. Staff Registered Nurse in an outpatient clinical setting
3. suburbanite nurse with short term or long term contracts around the world
4. Home-care nurse or case manager
5. Charge nurse in a residential care amenity.

Kauaʻi Community College is a public, co-educational suburbanite college in Līhuʻe, Hawaiʻi on the island of Kauaʻi, USA. It is among the ten branches of the University of Hawaiʻi system anchored by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Honolulu, United States of America and is approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It was established in 1965.

Please note: Math and Science prerequisite courses must be completed at least 7 years before your first fall semester.
1. Completion of prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or higher;
2. A minimum cumulative grade point ratio (CPR) of 2.5 or higher for the prerequisite general education courses and general support courses in the nursing curriculum, all courses being completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
3. An Assessment Technology Institute-Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI-TEAS) Exam taken with an adjusted individual total score of 78% or higher with 3-year expiration.
4. Must have completed all the necessary courses with grade of C or higher.
