Nursing program

The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Nursing grooms you for a career in professional nursing. Acceptance to the Nursing program is competitive and limited; a separate application is required. Many students register at Inver Hills and complete prerequisite courses before applying to the Nursing program.

Advanced standing is provided to qualified licensed practical nurses (LPN’s) interested in the MANE nursing program. The Inver Hills Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

 

About the school

Inver Hills Community College is a community college situated in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, United States. Established in 1970, the college is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MnSCU) system.

Inver Hills has over 4,000 students enrolled per semester, and the college awards 27-degree associate programs in career-related degrees as well as liberal education.

Tuition and fees are approximately $10,544

 

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

The nursing program is a selective admission program; admission is highly competitive. Before applicants are eligible to apply, they must complete a number of requirements. Applicants then are offered admission to the program based on a ranked score. Meeting the minimum admission requirements to be placed in the candidate pool for admission consideration does not guarantee admission to the program. Students who are not admitted to the program may reapply the next available admission date.

General Requirements for the A.S. in Nursing:

  1. At least 75 credits
  2. A grade of C or better in each required nursing and liberal arts courses
  3. Must maintain a grade of C or higher in all college coursework and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)status to progress in the nursing program
