The A.D. Nursing Training program in Hudson County Community College consists of a theoretical base of general education and science courses combined with an array of nursing theory and also practical course built to ready graduates to meet the specifications for the state licensure exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Graduates of the Nursing Training program must pass the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for Registered Nurses to have the ability to practice nursing. Acceptance is contingent upon the submission of all required documents. All students are required to submit proof of US citizenship, be CPR Healthcare provider BLS certified prior to the first nursing course. In addition, all students are required to carry malpractice insurance; complete medical records and immunizations; complete a criminal history background check, drug testing, and have medical health insurance.
