Nursing Program

Nursing is a demanding as well as a rewarding career. A nationwide shortfall implies that great career opportunities abound. HCC’s program takes four semesters to complete, and graduates are eligible to take the national RN licensing exam. Qualifying graduates also have a prospect to transit into the BSN program at the University of South Florida.

About The School

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is a community college offering two-year programs and is located in Hillsborough County, Florida. HCC was founded in 1968 as one of the last community colleges to be created in Florida. Founded prior only Pasco–Hernando State College, out of the 28-school Florida community college system.

The school opened its first residence hall; Hawk’s Landing in January 2008 which was named after the school mascot. This makes HCC one of the few community colleges to have its residence hall. The college has five campuses sited throughout the county, and their sites include Dale Mabry, Brandon, Plant City , South Shore  and Ybor City (on the south shore of Tampa Bay in Ruskin).

It equally has instructional centers at MacDill Air Force Base (South Tampa/aligned with the Plant City Campus) and at the Regent (Riverview) associated with the Brandon Campus. Sited on the Davis Islands, near downtown Tampa are the administrative offices and headquarters.

Total program cost for In-state is $7,516.08 and $22,656.96
