Hill College ADN-RN Nursing Program Prerequisites & Reviews

Nursing Program

The Associate Degree Nursing Training program in Hill College is a 60-hour training program which leads to an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and is built to prepare persons for licensure with the Texas Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Upon graduation and also licensure with the Texas Board of Nursing, the Associate Degree Nursing Training program curriculum is built to prepare the pupil to seek employment in the field of nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN). ADN training program is conducted in Hillsboro, Texas (even years) and also Cleburne, Texas (odd years) campuses.

About The School

Hill College is an extensive community college situated in Hillsboro, Burleson, Cleburne, Glen Rose and Meridian, Texas, United States. Hill College unveiled its doors in the year 1923, one year before North Central Texas College, which is the most ancient continuously-operating community college in Texas mainly because Hill College was shut during the 1950s.

The approval to build Hill College was issued in the year 1921 by the Attorney General of the State of Texas under the name of Hillsboro Junior College. The college very first enlisted pupils in September 1923.

Total estimated program cost is USD $13,100

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  1. Hill College Application complete.
  2. Health and Community Service (HCS) Application complete.
  3. Completion of all pre-requisites with a “B” or better by posted deadline date. All pre-req and recommended courses minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.

BIOL 2401 Anatomy and Physiology I

BIOL 1322 Nutrition

ENGL 1301 Composition I

MATH 1314 College Algebra

  1. Official College Transcripts submitted to the Health and Community Service Division.
  2. Official High School Transcript with Date of Graduation;
  3. TSI status complete/in progress.
  4. HESI test components completed, with passing scores.
  5. Three Professional References, ie: Employer/Supervisor, Co-Worker, and Academic.
  6. Immunization complete and documents submitted.
  7. Current American Heart Associate CPR for Health Care Providers.

LVN to RN Transition

The candidate MUST complete all application components to be considered for possible selection into the Hill College LVN to RN Transition program by the posted deadline date.

  1. Hill College Application complete.
  2. Health and Community Service (HCS) Application complete.
  3. Completion of all pre-requisites with a “B” or better by posted deadline date. All pre-req and recommended courses minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.

BIOL 2402 Anatomy and Physiology II

PSYC 2314 Human Growth and Development

ENGL 1301 Composition I

MATH 1314 College Algebra
