Nursing Program
The nursing program isAccredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). This degree program prepares you to become a Registered Nurse (RN) in as little as two years by providing hands-on clinical experience in a different health care settings to Experienced instructors leading each nursing course to include patient-centered nursing in a program that prepares you for the NCLEX licensure test.
The nursing education allows you go even further by applying your qualifying credits from your Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) to your bachelor’s degree after student graduation for even more nursing career options.
The merits of gaining an associate degree from Harrison compared to a traditional four-year program as soon as you receive licensure is that you will be eligible to start working professionally. This means that if you graduate with an associate degree, you can get a head-start on your career in only two years, instead of having to complete four years to earn a bachelor’s degree before starting work. Another advantage is that, unlike other rigid degree programs, you get to earn an associate degree, acquire licensure and start working in a hospital while remaining with Harrison to earn your bachelor’s degree, if you choose.
