- The BS Nursing degree will prepare you for leadership roles in your career as a Registered Nurse. Emphasizing holistic health care grounded in Christian values, the program focuses on clinical proficiency, therapeutic relationships, and also social awareness.
- The Hunt School of Nursing provides simulation-based learning experiences in laboratory settings to give pupils hands-on learning experiences. Following are the minimum requirements for BSN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
University admission does not guarantee acceptance into the Hunt School of Nursing. To be considered for admission to the ADN and BSN Nursing Programs, applicants must apply for admission to the University, apply for admission to the Hunt School of Nursing, complete a criminal background check, and meet the minimum criteria below:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. (For students with an earned bachelor’s degree or higher, 3.0 for the last 64 hours of undergraduate or graduate course work.)
- One of the following satisfactory standardized test scores*:
- Minimum SAT score of 1050 (if taken before 3/1/2016) with at least a 500 Critical Reading and 500 Math or a minimum SAT score of 1130 (if taken after 3/1/2016) with at least a 530 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 530 in Math.
- Minimum ACT composite score of 22 (with at least a 21 in English, 18 in Math, and 20 in Reading).
- TEAS (Version V or above) overall score of 58%. Scores must be within the last 12 months.
- Completion of Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra with a minimum of a “C” in high school or college. These grades must be reflected in the transcripts you provide with your application.
- Current, official, satisfactory Criminal Background Check results from the STATE in which you reside AND any other state in which you lived during the past ten years. All background checks are to be completed through CastleBranch using code: ga96.
- CNA I – CNA certification is not a prerequisite to applying, but a student must be listed on a state’s nurse aid registry before beginning the ADN program (NURS 106) and before beginning their first nursing course (NURS 239) in the four-year BSN program.
* Students with an earned bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university are not required to submit test scores.
