Nursing Program

Galen’s 2-year ADN Program is designed to prepare students towards their career as RN with the knowledge and confidence needed to be successful. It runs constantly evolving curriculum to mirror the most up to date philosophy and development in nursing practice for those new to nursing; this is an stimulating path towards achieving the status of a RN.

The Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education (ACEN) has accredited the Associate Degree program.

About The School

At Galen College, nursing education is the sole focus, and the faculty is very much dedicated to providing the best classes. The Commission of the Council on Occupational Education accredited the Associate program. Classes commence four times each year, so applicants can resume their journey whenever they are ready to do so.

Total Program cost is about $25,560

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

Every applicant to Galen College of Nursing must:

  • be able to communicate effectively in English;
  • be a high school graduate or hold a GED;
  • successfully pass a qualifying entrance examination;
  • and satisfactorily pass a criminal background screening prior to the start of classes. Our clinical partners have requirements to work in a real-world health care setting that Galen students must meet. The criminal background screening fee is non-refundable

The NLN PAX is the College’s official entrance examination. The NLN PAX is a standardized entrance exam for potential nursing students who seek admittance into nursing schools nationwide. See below for details on the PAX and applicable scores. Applicants may be granted acceptance into the College based upon equivalent entrance test scores on other qualifying examinations, including the HESI A2, Multilevel PAX, and TEAS. Please contact your admissions representative for more information on equivalent examinations and test scores.
