Nursing Program
The Nursing Science Training program offers a four‑semester program, which offers a balance of Liberal Arts, Sciences and also Nursing. The nursing courses guide pupils in obtaining the knowledge, attitudes, and competencies important to nursing practice in many different settings. Graduates of this training program are ready to take the NCLEX examination for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Upon Successful completion of the licensing examination meet the requirements for the graduate to assume a beginning staff nurse role in a hospital/agency.
The program is endorsed by the New York State Education Department along with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The AD Nursing Training program is certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.
About The School
Fulton–Montgomery Community College is a two (2) year college situated in Johnstown, New York, USA. The college is part of the State University of New York and also serves Fulton and Montgomery regions. It was established in 1963. The institution offers forty-five degree and certificate programs, thirty campus clubs, and is an associate of the NJCAA, offering Division III sports in basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. In 2013, new dorms were included in the campus to serve up local and also out-of-town students.

- Proof of graduation from high school or GED
Successful completion of the following:
- High school Integrated Algebra or its equivalent within the last five years with a grade of “C” or above, or college MAT 040 Elementary Algebra with a grade of “C” or above, or course equivalency.
- High school Regents Biology within last five years with a grade of “B” or above and Regents exam score of 80% or above or college level biology with a grade of “B” or better (SCI 135 Introductory to Biology-Molecules/Cells, SCI 136 Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology or SCI 137 Human Biology), or course equivalency
- High school Regents Chemistry within last five years with a grade of “B” or above and Regents exam score of 80% or above or college level Chemistry with a grade of “B-” or above (SCI 170 Introductory Chemistry I), or course equivalency.
- A minimum current high school average of 85% or college GPA of 2.8 is required to be considered for admission.
- Completion of all recommended skills remediation in identified areas.
- Students accepted to the Nursing Program must submit proof of American Heart Association adult and pediatric CPR certification and Health form prior to the start of the Nursing Program.
