Nursing program
The Associate Degree Nursing Program at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is a two-year program leading to the eligibility to take the Minnesota Board of Nursing exams and become a registered nurse after successfully passing the required exams.
The successful completion of a one-year Practical Nursing program permits students to take the Minnesota Board of Nursing Practical Nursing Board Exams and become a licensed practical nurse after excelling in the required exams. The Practical Nursing Program and Associate Degree Program necessitate full-time enrollment. All classes are convened on campus in Cloquet and clinical locations in the local health care facilities.
A limited number of presently licensed LPNs are accepted each year into the Associate Degree Nursing Program, and a competitive application process is used each spring/summer to decide who is admitted into the program. The next entrance is for Spring Semester 2017.
The Kaplan Nursing Admission Test is used to decide who will be accepted into the Nursing program and what program each student will enter. Pupils may begin working on general admission courses contained in the Associate Degree Nursing Program before beginning the program.
