Nursing Program
East Central College offers two (2) programs leading to an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Nursing. This training program grooms pupils to become registered nurses.
The primary campus in Union, and also the Rolla site, offers a whole pre-licensure training program (generic) for those enthusiastic about becoming a registered nurse (RN). An LPN to Registered Nurse Bridge training program is also offered at the Rolla site for LPNs interested in becoming registered nurses (RNs).
Upon successful completion of either training program, graduates met the criteria to apply to write the NCLEX-RN examination for licensure as a registered nurse (RN). Both nursing education sites are completely endorsed by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

About The School
East Central College (ECC) is an extensive community college with five sites in east central Missouri in the St. Louis metropolitan area, United States. The primary campus is situated in Union, Missouri, sitting on over 200 acres (80.9 ha).

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
(documentation must be sent to the registration office)
- Application for admission to ECC
- A placement test as specified by the college
(some coursework requires minimum placement results)
- An undisciplined Missouri LPN license
- Cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or greater
- HESI A2 Admission Test taken in the last two years with a composite score greater than 75%.
- Score of 700 or better score on the HESI LPN to RN Mobility Exam in the last two years
- Completion of prerequisites with a “C” or better.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening once accepted to the program
