Nursing Program
Associate Degree Nursing (RN) at Owens Campus of Delaware Technical Community College prepares students for a career as a vital member of the healthcare team. Nurses are usually the first contact for the patient, addressing patients’ responses to all health events directly. Through this course, knowledge, and skills that are necessary for effecting a difference in the health of members of any community.
Nursing is one of the largely interesting and significant fields in health care; it provides various exciting job opportunities, a rewarding career, and excellent pay. This program is the right first step for starting a career in nursing.
The Associate Degree Nursing Program at the Owens campus has the approval of the Delaware Board of Nursing and full accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
About The School
Delaware Technical Community College also referred to as DTCC or Delaware Tech remains the only public community college in the entire state of Delaware. It has four campuses which include the Stanton Campus in Stanton, the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown, the Orlando J. George, Jr. Campus in Wilmington, and the Charles L. Terry Campus in Dover. Delaware Tech was established by the General Assembly of Delaware House Bill 529 in 1966.
Delaware Tech maintains an open admission and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The institution offers over 100 associate degrees, diploma as well as certificate programs in the fields of Computer Technology, Agriculture, Education, Business, Culinary Arts, Public Service, Energy and Engineering, Transportation, Health and Science, and Visual Communications. Out of these programs, 48 have full accreditation and articulation agreements with about 60 other institutions of higher learning
Total tuition cost for in-state resident is $20,125 while out-of-state residents are expected to spend around $25,164.

Students interested in the ADN Nursing Program can pursue their degree through an accelerated or traditional format. Students applying to the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Delaware Technical Community College – Owens, Stanton, or Terry Campus, must meet the following requirements.
REQUIRED FOR PROGRAM APPLICATION
OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT/GED
– Official high school transcript/GED/US equivalency letter for high school is on file at the College

ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY I (BIO 120)
– Completion with a C or better at Delaware Tech within the last 10 years or
– Approved transfer equivalent course to Delaware Tech if taken within the last 10 years or
