Cuesta College (CC) is a state community school in the Central Coast region of California, United States.
The very first community college in the San Luis Obispo region was established in 1916 as a branch of San Luis Obispo High School; it lasted until 1919 with the United States of America involved in World War I. On April 16, 1963, voters in SLO County decided to form a community college district, building the San Luis Obispo County Junior College District.
Situated on State Route 1, the Cuesta campus is 6 miles from the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and 6 miles from San Luis Obispo. Cuesta College also has a satellite campus, called ‘North County Campus,’ situated in Paso Robles, which is 29 miles (47 km) to the northeast of the major campus near San Luis Obispo.
NURSING
The Cuesta College Registered Nurse program is endorsed by the California Board of Registered Nurses (BRN). This two-year (4 semesters) training program equips students to graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN). Graduates are qualified to take the National Council Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) for licensing by the California BRN.
The Associate Degree Registered Nursing training program application and entrance requirements are subject to modification from one year to the next. It is the applicant’s duty to follow present application guidelines and meet all requirements and due dates.
