Nursing Program
The task of the Nursing Program at CCBC is to train a registered nurse graduate who displays clinical and professional excellence while practicing nursing in the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. The nursing graduate is trained in a learning-centered environment, which is dedicated to the best use of available resources and highlights the diversity of the neighboring community. Additionally, graduates are equipped to enter the health care labor force and are also qualified for licensure as a registered nurse. Congruent with the CCBC mission, a dedication to lifelong learning and educational mobility is promoted through the curriculum.
The associate degree nursing program is a choosy admission program and is offered at the Essex campuses and Catonsville. Students who are looking for admission to the nursing program are required to submit a selective admissions application and specify the campus of interest. Students will be graded for program admission based on explicit selection criteria.
The Associate Degree Nursing – Registered Nursing Program at the Community College of Baltimore County has the accreditation of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
