Nursing program
The training program in Colby Community College requires selective admission. The pupil MUST display proof of licensure (LPN, RRT, or MICT ) and be admitted to enter the Associate Degree Nursing training program.
This program of study grooms the pupil to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses (RNs). The Associate Degree Nursing year curriculum is offered on the Colby campus despite the fact that theory content can be obtained through ITV at Norton.
Due to limited enrollment, application to the Division of Nursing should be made earlier. The selection process happens in early spring annually.
Articulation to the 2nd year of the Registered Nurse training program is available for people who have completed a Practical Nursing (PN) program and who have successfully passed NCLEX-PN.
