Nursing program

• The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Training program offered by the School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions is built to prepare graduates for general practice.
• The School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions boasts an intensive academic training program for both undergraduate and also a graduate study that encompasses comprehensive professional preparation as well as a compassionate approach to patient care inspired by the College’s Ursuline heritage.
• At The College of New Rochelle, nursing pupils in all programs are assigned to clinical rotations at some of the leading clinical organizations in the world. While pupils may have some possibilities to request available clinical sites during their five semesters of study, specific days, times, and also locations cannot be assured. Clinical rotations are scheduled Monday to Saturday with available clinical faculty. Currently, there are no Sunday clinics.

• SAT or ACT scores
• The school code for the College Board is 2089 to submit your SAT scores.
• The ACT school code is 2712.
• Two letters of recommendation (optional, but highly recommended)
• Personal Statement
• Students applying for the School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions must explain why they want to enter this profession and study nursing at The College of New Rochelle.

Freshman International Applicants

Applicants who are not a citizens or permanent residents of the United States and have studied outside of the U.S. are considered international applicants and must submit the following documents in order for their application to be reviewed:

• Standardized Test scores — SAT or ACT
• TOEFL
• Two letters of recommendation
• Personal Statement
• Certificate of Finances

Transfer Nursing Admission Requirements

• Submission of official transcript(s) from all schools attended, and evaluated by a NACES approved agency
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on all college coursework
• Completion and submission of scores on the TEAS pre-admission nursing exam
• A 300-500 word essay discussing: “Why I Wish to be a Nurse and Study at the College of New Rochelle”
• Written academic, professional, and/or personal reference
