Nursing Program
Chemeketa’s Nursing training program grooms pupils to graduate with an Associate of Science Degree and sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Successfully passing this examination allows the graduate to turn out to be a licensed registered nurse (RN). Chemeketa’s Nursing Training program is endorsed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) and certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Apply for Admission to Chemeketa. Submit an Application at applyonline.chemeketa.edu/
- Take Chemeketa’s Placement Test (may be waived if a student has previously completed college-credited writing and math courses; contact Counseling and Career Services, Bldg. 2 for waiver).
- Submit sealed, official transcripts of college coursework completed at institutions other than Chemeketa, along with a Request for Evaluation and Transfer of Previous Credit Form, to the Chemeketa Enrollment Center (Bldg. 2). Previous coursework will then be evaluated against program requirements. Request this evaluation as early as possible. These official transcripts and the Request for Evaluation & Transfer of Previous Credit must be received by Chemeketa’s admission office by January 6.
- ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY – BI231 submit proof of either current enrollment or completion within the last seven years (Fall term 2010 or later), with a “C” grade or better.
- INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA – MTH095 (or higher) with a “C” grade or better. This requirement can not be waived by placement test score!
- BIOLOGY COURSES are: BI232 Anatomy & Physiology II and BI233 Anatomy & Physiology III. All biology courses must be completed within the last seven (during Fall 2010 or later) years with a “C” grade or higher.
