Chaffey College (CC) is a public community college in the San Bernardino in the northern part of the community of Alta Loma, California, United States Of America,  The region covers Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Ontario, Montclair, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland.

The school was founded in Ontario, California in 1883 when city pioneers and Brothers George and William Chaffey donated land and founded an endowment for a private institution. The private school was established as the Chaffey College of Agriculture of the University of Southern California; USC, also a non-public university, had been established three years earlier in nearby Los Angeles.

NURSING

The nursing program in Chaffey College that leads to an Associate in Science Degree (AS) with a major in Nursing is authorized by the California Board of Registered Nursing and certified by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

The graduate is qualified to take the National Council for Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and, upon successful completion, become certified as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. There are charges for obtaining licensure by examination or endorsement, biennial renewal, and interim permit. California law permits the denial of registered nursing licensure on the basis of any previous convictions significantly related to nursing practice.

Candidates with previous convictions need to provide proof of rehabilitation before taking the NCLEX. Following admission to the nursing program, the Chaffey ADN Nursing Training program consists of four semesters of study.

The Chaffey Nursing Training program provides top quality, intensive nursing education. Students who desire to continue their education may move to a four-year college or university. Students should contact that university to find out which units will be transferable.

Students in the training program have the chance to interface with health professionals all through the community working in acute, sub-acute care, rehabilitation, psychiatric functions, community/home health, and hospice.

Total program cost is USD $10,100
