Nursing Program

The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum at Central Piedmont Community College provides people with the knowledge and skills essential to provide nursing care to the patient and also groups of patients all through the lifespan in many different settings. Courses will include content related to the nurse’s position as a provider of nursing care, as supervisor of care, as an associate of the field of nursing and as an affiliate of the interdisciplinary team.

Graduates of this training program meet the requirements to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination ( NCLEX-RN ) which is required to practice as a registered nurse (RN). Employment possibilities include hospitals, clinics, long-term care amenities, physician’s offices, and industry and also community organizations. 50 students are admitted each and every semester. This nursing training program has complete authorization by the NC Board of Nursing and certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) is a big community college in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

Named Central Piedmont Community College by statute and also typically referred to as CPCC or maybe Central Piedmont, its over 70,000 pupils makes it one of the biggest community colleges in the North Carolina Community College System, USA.

The institution was established in the year 1963; it is the result of a merger between Mecklenburg College along with Central Industrial Education Center, USA. Now the School comprises of 6 satellite campuses and a comprehensive “Virtual Campus,” all in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Total estimated program cost is USD $8,000

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  1. Completion of state approved Nurse Aide I training or an active unrestricted LPN license. Attach proof of Nurse Aide I training (transcript or certificate) or LPN license to the application. Nurse Aide I training can be obtained at CPCC or any state approved program.
  2. Current listing as a Nurse Aide I without findings on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. Attach a copy of the listing to the application. Nurse Aide I listing information is available on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry website.
  3. You must complete the ATI TEAS test. Students admitted to the Nursing program must have minimum ATI TEAS scores of math 70; reading 80; and adjusted individual total score overall of 74 or an ATI Academic Preparedness Level of “Advanced”.
