Nursing Program

The ADN training program is offered at the Grand Island Campus. Furthermore, the very first year of the training program and the nursing block clinical rotations can be finished at the Columbus Campus or even Kearney Centre.

The ADN training program incorporates education in the theory and science of nursing with general education in the behavioral, biological and physical sciences. The regular ADN training program can be fulfilled in 2 years.

Nursing students take part in a combination of classroom, laboratory as well as clinical activities at all levels. Clinical learning experience is completed at local hospitals, long-term care facilities, and in other health-care functions. Graduates are ready to take the NCLEX-RN licensing exam needed to practice as an experienced registered nurse (RN).

The training program is endorsed by the Nebraska Board of Nursing. The ACEN certifies the Associate Degree Nursing Training program.
