Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Meet the general enrollment requirements of Central Carolina Technical College and the admission requirements for Health Sciences students.
- Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in Associate Degree Nursing program curriculum courses.
- The Registrar must have receipt of all official transcripts (including high school and all regionally accredited institutions) two weeks prior to the admission deadline.
- Completion of the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) with a score at the Academic Preparedness Level of “Proficient”, “Advanced” or “Exemplary” or completion of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with a minimum Critical Reading 470 score and Math 460 score or completion of American College Test (ACT) with a minimum 19 composite score. Scores older than five years will not be accepted.
- Completion and grade of “C” or higher in BIO 210 (Anatomy and Physiology I) and MAT 101 (Beginning Algebra) or MAT 110 (College Algebra) or MAT 120 (Probability and Statistics).
- Completion and grade of “C” or higher in ENG 101 (English Composition I).
LPN-ADN OPTION
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Meet the general enrollment requirements of Central Carolina Technical College and the admission requirements for Health Sciences students.
- Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in Associate Degree Nursing program curriculum courses.
- The Registrar must have receipt of all official transcripts (including high school and all regionally accredited institutions) two weeks prior to the admission deadline.
- Provide proof of graduation from a state approved Practical Nursing program by submitting official transcripts to the Registrar.
- Provide proof of current South Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
- Completion of the National League for Nursing (NLN) Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exam Foundation of Nursing I (NACE I) with a score of 75 or higher.
- Completion and grade of “C” or higher in BIO 210 (Anatomy and Physiology I) BIO 211 (Anatomy and Physiology II), and MAT 101 (Beginning Algebra) or MAT 110 (College Algebra) or MAT 120 (Probability and Statistics).
- Completion and grade of “C” or higher in ENG 101 (English Composition I) and PSY 201 (General Psychology).
- Completion and grade of “C” or higher in CPT 101 (Introduction to Computers).
