Nursing Program
The Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing Training program at Butler Community College is a two-year academically-based training program that prepares the graduate to provide and handle direct care to individual customers and their families and to work as an efficient associate of the health-care team. The training program prepares the graduate for employment in the role of registered nurse (RN). The graduate is also educated to be a contributing associate of the discipline of nursing, devoted to continuous learning, professional growth, and self-development. Graduates are qualified to take the licensing examination for registered nurse (RN).

Butler Community College (BCC) is a 2-year community college situated in El Dorado, Kansas, United States Of America.
In 1927, El Dorado Junior College was established. The institution name has developed over time: Butler County Junior College (verbalized Bu Co Ju Co), Butler County Community Junior College, Butler County Community College (BCCC), then lastly to its present name of Butler Community College.
There are a variety of outlet campuses all through the area, in Andover, Marion, McConnell, Council Grove, Rose Hill, and several distance-learning sites in high schools.
Butler is the 2nd biggest community college in Kansas, with 13,000 pupils every year across six campus sites. The majority are commuters. The institution is certified by the Higher Learning Commission, the National League of Nursing, the North Central Association of Colleges, and the Kansas State Board of Nursing.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Apply for Admission to the college.
- Complete program prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology, English Composition I, General Psychology, Math Requirement (MA 135 or above) MA 131 College Algebra with review will also be accepted
- Complete the Test for Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). Click here for the TEAS process you must follow.
- Submit application for the Nursing Program.
- Ranking for Final Selection: Students are rank ordered by the sum of grades earned in the prerequisite courses. Additional points are considered for certified applicants with documented patient care experience.
- Acknowledging Acceptance: Selected applicants are given a specified time period to accept their position in the class. If any of the first accepted group of students do not accept, or accept and withdraw prior to the beginning of class, the vacancy created will be offered to the next highest ranked applicant up to a maximum of 56 students.
- Selected student responsibilities: Students must complete a specified background check, a negative drug urine screen, physical examination including documentations of vaccinations and immunizations and health record.
